  In just a handful of years, Miracle on Cary has become one of RVA's more popular holiday traditions. This pop-up bar, hosted by The Jasper, serves up seasonal cocktails with a side of holiday decor. Be sure to try their signature Snowball Old Fashioned, a blend of butterscotch rye, wormwood bitters, spiced brown sugar, and orange zest served with an actual snowball. Other themed drinks include Bad Santa, Run Run Rudolph, and "Nice" and "Naughty" shots. Miracle on Cary is open daily through December 31. Hours are 5 p.m. - midnight except Friday and Saturday, when closing time is 2 a.m.
  
  
• Nick's Roman Terrace - 8051 W. Broad St., Henrico, VA 23294
  Their cuisine may be Italian and Greek, but during the holidays, Nick's Roman Terrace becomes the home of "St. Nick." Located near Henrico homes for sale, guests can have lunch with Santa Claus himself. Nick's pizza is a great choice for a family meal, but whatever you order, don't fill up on the restaurant's legendary soft and warm yeast rolls! Hours are 8 a.m. - 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. - 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and 8 a.m. - 8 p.m. Sunday. The jolly old fellow is on hand daily from noon - 2 p.m. through Christmas Eve.
  
  
• The Evergreen - Birdie's on Broad, 305 W. Broad St., Richmond, VA 23220
  Birdie's on Broad, located in Richmond's lively Arts District, rings in the holidays by transforming into The Evergreen. Their small plates menu features seafood-forward dishes such as lobster rolls, crab dip, and oysters on the half-shell. Pair your food with a Double Humbug, Ghost of Christmas Future, or any one of a dozen holiday craft cocktails. Frozen eggnog is jazzed up with the addition of bourbon, cinnamon, and nutmeg. The Evergreen is open 8 a.m.- 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. - midnight Friday, and 9 a.m. - midnight Saturday, Reservations are recommended, but Monday is for walk-ins only.

  Peppermint Patty is a beloved cartoon character, but the name takes on a different meaning during the holidays at Belle Isle Moonshine Distillery. Their Peppermint Patty, infused with real chocolate and fresh mint, is deliciously served chilled or in a mug of hot chocolate or coffee. Other holiday-appropriate varieties include Old Fashioned and Spiced Apple. Stop in at the tasting room after a day of viewing Petersburg homes for sale. Their products also make great gifts. • Helen's - 2527 W. Main St., Richmond, VA 23220
  During the holidays, Helen's pulls out all the stops as a tribute to the legacy of their founding family. In 1935, Helen Donati's parents celebrated her 21st birthday by handing her the reins of their restaurant, D's. After Helen's passing in 1967, her brother John took over and renamed the restaurant in honor of his late sister. The extravagant seasonal decor carries on the tradition established by John Donati. Helen's weekend brunch, served from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m., is a perfect setting for a holiday get-together. Dinner is served Tuesday through Saturday from 5:30 p.m. - 10 p.m.
